LDR 117 Introduction to Supervision (3 credits)

Hours: 3 classroom + 0 lab/studio
Taught: Fall, spring, and summer
This course explores the responsibilities and competencies of an effective supervisor. Students will gain a better understanding of applied skills including planning, organizing, and directing their followers. Supervisory techniques for staffing and delegating are examined. Supervisory practices such as decision-making and effective communication are introduced and explored.
