SWK 406 Field Experience I (5 credits)

Prerequisite(s): SWK 303 , SWK 304 , SWK 305 SWK 306 , SWK 307 , SWK 308 , SWK 310 , SWK 311 , declared social work major only; department permission
Taught: Fall and spring
This is the first field-based course that requires students to complete 200 hours in a community-based agency under supervision of a professional social worker, along with a seminar course. Students apply and integrate generalist social work knowledge and skills, and begin to demonstrate required competencies/practice behaviors for professional practice.
