SWK 415 Child Welfare PCWCP I (3 credits)

Hours: 3 classroom + 0 lab/studio
Prerequisite(s): Declared social work major only, department permission, acceptance to PCWCP

This course is designed to provide students with a comprehensive introduction of the dynamics of child maltreatment and the impact on children who are exposed to abuse and neglect. The course will examine the indicators of maltreatment, effective interventions, and social worker’s role in a multidisciplinary team approach.
