REL 225 African American Religious Experience (3 Credits)

This course will explore the diversity of African American religions, from African roots to the Civil Rights movement, from Rastafari to the Five-Percenters and Malcolm X. We will examine how African American religions have been instrumental in the struggle against oppression as well as in creating opportunities within American culture.
