HSR 503 LGBTQIA+ Issues in Human Services (3 Credits)

Prerequisite(s): Junior standing or higher, or instructor approval.

This course introduces students to LGBTQIA+ communities, from intersectional and developmental perspectives, to better understand the needs, help-seeking behaviors, and resources relevant to serving this population in human services settings. The course is designed to provide students with greater self-awareness, enhanced cultural knowledge, and the development of affirming helping skills.
