Taught: Fall and spring A study of the functional operation of equipment used in multi-track mixdown of digital master recordings in a digital audio workstation environment. There will be an emphasis on critical listening and aesthetic consideration. Topics covered will include common DAW procedures and protocol, data management, mixing using a reference, signal flow, editing, and digital signal processing (plug-ins).
